Production of Customized Reactors by 3D Printing for Corrosive and Exothermic Reactions

This work presents a continuous reactor designed to be produced by 3D printing with the ultimate objective of performing fast, exothermic, and corrosive reactions. The dilution sulfuric acid water was used as model for design. A good mixing inside will promote at same time increase heat transfer. Fast transfer is important avoid vaporization reactants/products control corrosion reactor. using genetic algorithm maximize surface area prespecified volume while ensuring reactants. We have experimentally demonstrated that can done continuously in Hartridge–Roughton mixer lattices enhanced Selected designs internal external exchange were manufactured Ti64 alloy.
